pow/Greg - yesterday. I checked the oil, which was fine, no oil consumption. Thought I'd check inside the coolant tank for some reason. Funky white grease around the cap and floating on the water.

Had just done a 25mile motorway journey so wasn't condensation.

Get the dodgey watery noise from behind the dash sometimes when starting the car when it's warm.

And the coolant does smell funky.

No water consumption and no oil, so hopefully I've caught it at a nice early stage.

Need the car to drive to Uni, so not going to take it over 3krpm. Which means 60mph on the A505050505.

Doesnt mean a HG failure, you could have a cooling problem, keep your eye on the temp gauge.

Had an excuse to use my front fog lights today, looks cool and no getting pulled

The above was a joke btw, I dont normally use front fog lights

There isn't a coolant problem really. The coolant was fresh in February and it doesn't overheat, only when sitting in traffic like all Corsa's do

Getting all the tests done tomorrow. If it is fooked, then the car will be staying there.

Whilst the head is being skimmed, shall I get it ported and polished

What ever that means?!
