I was watching an american police videos show the other night and a woman was alone trying to restrain a man about 3 times the size of her.

He just held her with 1 arm and took her gun with the other, it wasnt until some bloke came to her rescue the the guy was tackled!

Im sure i heard that they are considering changing the law to benefit people who are defending their family\girlfriends\mates even so its all considered self defense.

I dont understand how people get in situations where a bloke would hit their girlfriend.

Im been to some rough areas, and most people know that thats brave for me. Never even seen a hint of a fight - with me involved that is.

Something must of been done to provoke the fight, nasty comment, spat in their drink etc. etc.

This is not always true, there are some idiots about that go out looking/wanting to fight.
