I've just been moaning to some fella from an agency about there not been any junior roles available. His advice was to go back to my old job as it sounded boss Not really what i wanted to hear but he said it will look better on my cv for when a role does come available.
I graduated in July with a 2:2. Ok it's not the best grade in the world but it still proves i can learn and i'm quite proud that i got that grade. I'd be happy to do something i love for 15k.
26k is a lot of money if spent wisely.

I agree. I know someone who takes home about £900/month. His mortgage is £800/month. Him and his wife then life off his wife's income. £26k is over double what he has.

Yea 26k is a lot but it does sound too good to be true IMO I can just image rolling into the interview all excited and they turn around and say you'll be starting on £15k lol
Either way I'd be happy on £15k for a starting job, as my only outgoings is basically insurance and gym membership lol
It does also depend on the area aswell, for example people's wages will be based upon living costs as well hence why London is soo bloody expensive and the average wage is pretty high (£25k IIRC)

at the interview she asked me what salary id want, i said something adequate, she was like, gimme a figure, so i said 15k, im happy with that, i live at home, no board to pay, so having £1k income a mnth will keep me more than happy, since i dnt earn anything atm
i got a 2:1 in management and marketing, found trouble even getting interviews for 12k jobs...so i got a bit depressed, chuffed to bits now tho

Not usually basic wage, but investment banks here in the City typically give £40k+ basic and maybe £50k annual bonus for grad bankers...

If that mean's me
Im currently getting around 100k worth of training put in to allow me to work offshore for one of a consortium of the 5 big operators who want skilled workers. The jobs there for when im ready & the moneys factual, im just far from ready to be deemed time served or competent.
Look on a recruitment site or ask any of the Aberdeen lot what an oiler gets paid!

I get a tax free 'grant' of around £550 a month just now.
2nd year - £17k
3rd year - £21k
Then as soon as I finish my level 3 in Process Engineering I get the big boy pay.
