That's the way Castle Combe works I think.

Yes, because from that video you can do a real good analysis with all your motorsport knowledge.
Well for a start on trackdays dont you overtake on the left after the slower car infront has signaled and pulled over to the right.
Please correct me if im wrong.

Paul J will know for sure, but I'm 90% certain it's overtake on the right at Castle Combe, even if every other track is on the left.

usually yes, but now robin has mentioned it i think you do pass on the right at combe, probably because there are loads of fast right hand bends.
also if your going that quick and the car your passing is that slow you dont tend to wait for them to move, its just a case of a slow car and a really fast car sharing the same bit of tarmac and the worst case scenario has happened. there was not a lot wither party could have done imo.

It wasn't a track day, it was a Race meeting.

Combe is overtake on the right! So that's ok... and at a race meeting obviously overtaking on corners is allowed.
but isn't that Castle Combe Saloon Series??
there's a few people with red 106's like that tracked up on french sports club / Talk Torque... who are racing in the series on a budget.
I'd be gutted for the 106 driver End of the day you racing on a budget in your 106 with cage etc, you can't afford to replace it all easily...
but a big budget team like the norris boys will just reshell their evo.
The castle Combe Saloon series, has classes...
4wd = class A
106 gti would be in Class C, FWD up to 1.8 litre.
The majority of cars that race in that series are class B / C / D, so I'd of thought the A's should give a bit more respect to them.
to me it looks like the norris evo had wheels on the grass when he nailed it out of the bend, which seemed to cause it to understeer (maybe the electronics cut the power to some wheels coz they were on the grass)...
Gutted for the 106 though.

Yup ... was person off Talk-Torque
http://www.talk-torque.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2586
Was a woman driving the 106... but properly track prepped, with cage etc. Feel so sorry for her, as I read her thread the other day about the car being completely ready and prepped - and how she had had her first race meeting... made me want to race in that series.
Thing is... it's not like the 106 was in the way... IT was well out of the way, off the racing line - it couldn't of got out of the way anymore (i.e. to let faster cars through).
The evo shouldn't of taken such a shallow line through the bend, it turned in too early / hard and clipped the grass... hope the evo guys offered to help out the 106 driver's repairs?

imo they shouldn't run the series with that difference in classes...
i.e. shouldn't have such faster cars with such slow ones...

Jesus christ, thats some accident.
Not either drivers fault really in my opinion, 106 was completely out of the way, and the evo clipped the grass slightly putting him wide on the bend. Couldn't do anything about it.

thats crazy
Castle Combe had a big Porsche crash similar a few years ago, was an owners club day and it happened where there was no barriers and the car ended up in the spectator area, luckily it was a private meet!
