The 1.8t's can take quite a bit of power on standard internalls too.

Times are very good and it looks the part too Aiming for that sort of power from the golf at some point at the moment it has a neck braking 0BHP

Not bad times, comparing to a standard classic STi 5 its a second slower to 60, but 0-100 and 1/4 very similar.

Was creaming in my pants over the fact it was white then i saw those god awful rear lights.

Don't forget the twin VAG engined Audi TT that recently done 244mph....

Bloody good engines, loads of potential. How bigs your wallet really.

Poor Escort... But i'd say thats repairable. At least its happened at the right time of year (if there ever is one) and Martin can now work over the winter period to get it back up to concourse condition.

Then hopefully we can get some real performance times and that 200mph+ goal I know he's been aiming for for years

Does anyone know if he got the chance to get some times in this year, or whether it was still showing it about first?

The key to the power is the turbo, IHI uses a VF34 which is good for about 360bhp. Then its a case of a decent front mount, full exhaust, decent filter etc

Seems like quite a weapon, 0-60 time and top speed are impressive.
