I usually go at 6.30am when it's fairly quiet on the weights side, but I was off work last night so went this afternoon instead, wish I hadn't now
The twit wasn't even repping properly and only stayed in 20 mins

Why? I wear a vest pretty much 90% of the time. Not for posing purposes but i do like to see my muscles working and helps me push harder when im starting to fatigue, plus with a vest etc dont have to worry about it getting in the way.
Yeh Andy i've been going mornings before work and lunch and in the mornings its dead quiet, been contemplating doing weights then and my cardio at lunch, but usually do my cardio in morning before breakfast, fasted state etc. If i did it in the morning i wouldnt have to share stuff with the guys who bench press with there arse in the air and back arched like a bridge :/

vests in england shouldnt be allowed there for holidays. if you buy a t shirt that fits it wont suck you into the weights

a guy in my gym wears all the proper walking gear, waterproof coat, walking pants tucked into wooly socks etc then gets the treadmill on the steepest setting and walks up that

I don't dig vest in England, but in a gym i wear one all the time. I'm 6,2 and skinny, but i'm at the gym, not a fashion parade, and i tend to overheat easily.
90% of the people you find in the free weights bit irratate me. I never see anyone doing any leg exercises in the free weight bit where i go. I've never seen one person free weight squating or doing deadlifts and i also rarely see people doing pull ups or dips. I dont think people dare use the pull up bit as they fear looking like a cock, which makes me then look like a cock because there is only me using it.

no-one at mine hardly does either, which is why im looking at finding a proper sawdust and spit gym not a corporate fitness suite. My gym is full of guys who do bicep curls every day 5 days a week
Was at the gym the other day, some little idiot comes up and asks me to spot him... so he struggles and picks 2x 38kg dumbells off the rack, swings one up and then i put the other in his other free hand, and he tries to shoulder press them.. bear in mind he had done no warm ups or pre-sets beforehand so hes just come in and tried it, prob thought he could do it and look macho. Was a right picture moment though watching him struggle, i stopped him before he got a hernia and said he should try a lower weight, 5min later he thought i had gone so he unracks some 16kg dumbells and uses them lol
Dont see why people do that, some people just expect to walk in and lift the heaviest weight possible to look macho, idiots i tell thee

My gym closes at 9pm so i train at around 7.30pm, i go as late as possible to avoid the groups and the idiots but i still catch a few. Peak time is usually around 6pm.
Must be uncomfortable training in jeans, sod that. I dont like vests either, but other people wearing them doesnt bother me. The gym is my time, i dont spend it looking at other people.

Amen, unless its an incredibly hot woman who i can look at whilst resting between sets not only will it boost my test but it will make me want to work harder on the off chance she wants to play my pink oboe

I used to see loads of people wearing jeans and rigger boots at the gym.. Come straight from work i guess! They are just trying to be different and stand out.. they also only ever train their arms.
I havnt once seen anyone in jeans do a squat or a dead lift but i'm pretty sure that would be a funny sight. Soft twats

ok im sure im going to look like a silly arse here but fcuk it....
i have trained in jeans before
purely as my tracksuit bottoms have been in the wash and its not on leg days. also a few other people do wear jeans, big boots etc down my gym.
though my gym isnt a fitness gym like most you guys go to, its alot more focused on weight lifters and nearly everyone just strolls in, does there work out and goes home again

my gym is just a hardcore weightlifter gym really, not fancy, no tvs, basic showers ect but its great and theres no fashion obssesed homo's. just the usual fat twats who think there god.
ive yet to see any one train in jeans though lol.
also i wear a vest dont see why any one would get annoyed at them, you can see your form more clearly, its not as hot as a t shirt either.

dont see why they cant take a change of clothes in a bag, every one in my gym does, pretty stupid working out in jeans especially if your working legs.
