surely the old handling debate all boils down to how mad the driver is? The vtr may feel better going through the corners but if the driver is a pussy then they wont go through them as quickly.

that has absolutely nothing to do with the handling of a car. a mad driver as you say still cant make a car like a corsa handle as good as a vtr. risk taking on bends isnt the same as handling you may find. you should know, roundabout and all that.

this discussion could go on all day, the handling of the car doesnt determine the outcome of the 'race'. If the driver of the other car felt more confident through corners than the saxo, thus going quicker, then why should it matter what handles better? Alright fair enough, it probably means the corsa driver is working alot harder to keep it on the road but what does that matter in the above point.

Although jake does have a valid point. All down to the squishy bit behind the wheel in the end

for startes that graph is comical, rollers are out by miles......

and no, jake doesnt have a point at all. std for std a saxo handles far better. there is no arguments about squishy bits. one is just simply better than the other.

yer i agree that put the same driver in both the saxo will win

But in everyday encounters with average joe's driving it does account for something

The rollers for that graph did do some fairly accurate results on the day if they are compared. Although this is going off topic anyway

the average joe would find it very difficult to out handle a saxo with a corsa. ask average jake about roundabouts
