It's the way it always goes tho, isn't it?

You arrange one thing, then a couple of other better things come along at the same time.

Just gotta run with your first decision imo...

EDITED - Just seen above.

Other thing is aswell, you can go on the piss any time. Fishing's going to start coming to a close soon.

Dont let your friend down to go out drinking if i did it id feel really bad for the whole nite anyway, Like one of the earlier posts why dont you just go out for a few to socialise on the friday - and not get trashed and still keep your trip. Put yourself in his situation and being let down. im sure you'll make the right decision, just remember whatever you say to him dont bullshit coz thats worse and you'll get found out

Be better to chill out and do some fishing than to waste a fuck load of money, getting pissed and probably injuring yourself

i blanked on this water the last 3 times i've been. I saw the bailiff pull 5 out in one night on one of the sessions tho. All were above 18lb and he had his PB mirror, 26lb. My PB is only 19lb so i'm pretty confident i'll beat it so long as i catch.

there are 2 ghosties in a water in radcliffe where i live. Its a tiny water and it gets hammered these days as my mate showed people some pics from when he had both ghosties out in one night, 1 at 25lb, the other at 26lb 5oz. We used to night fish it all the time even though your not allowed. its been spoilt now though coz the rumours of the 2 ghosties have gone round and you can never get on there. afaik they have only ever come out at night so they are wasting their time.

people ask if we really need all that gear and the answer is yes...every bit. its crazy but imo you need to be comfortable when on a 2 night session so if that means extra weight then tough shit. i reckon my supplies weigh as much as my fishing gear, add up 2 crates of ale, pots, pans, kettle, bottles of water, food for 2 night/3days its quite allot.

My mate has a superb carping water in his front garden

About an acre, maybe a bit more. It's never been fished, so we started a couple of weeks ago. The fish are scared of the bait though so we've had to chuck loads in about 3 days a week. They've now started to bite.

Smallest has been 4 LB. Biggest.........

29 LB Caught on 10LB line and double corn
