This has always been my mind set for the uk version, i was not even aware of a french version until this thread.

Still think its looks disgusting compare to a GTi.

later english versions were a 1.4 tu3 85 bhp motor with progressive twin choke carb, hardly a step up from an xs(earlier cars had the 1.4 xy8 engine,it lay at a flatter angle than the TU and only had 75bhp) as they both had 1.6 front subframes and dodgy graphixs, french spec was a 1.3 tu3s engine on twin weber 40's with lower ratio box,no rear wiper/washer and no centre vents inside the stingy bastids

LMFAO! sounds so funny..."and gave birth to the rallye"

french cars= fun+just please dont crash them..."tin can" "coffin" "you may die tonight" springs to mind when talking to mate with renault 5 gt turbo.

SERIOUS FUN THOUGH!

french cars have got a really bad rep, but if u put the effort in to maintain it all is good!
