I have driven a z20let corsa C and it was ok but the astra is a far better car, more controlled and feels more stable.

Buy a car which the engine was suposed to be in.
IMO your wasting money even thinking about putting a Z let into a Corsa and as you wouldnt be doing it physically all yourself it makes no sense. If it can be done on a budget fair enough. I can only see this being a costly exercise to try and improve a car that has to sporting credencials or cult staus which will in turn make it impossible to sell.
No offence to Tom but anything near 8k for a modified Corsa C irrespective of engine and money spent is lunacy.

when they built the mk 4 astra it wasnt until 2000 they put the turbo engine's in, so in 1997 when making the first astra's they never desighned that to have a z-let engine at first
money wise IF i was to do the conversion, the only thing i dont think i could do is the looms, but a freind has managed to do 2 z-let corsa's, 1 z-let mk4 van and is doing another atm
so help in on tap for a few drinks
you dont build/modify cars to re-sell, look at my blue one. i spent thousands on it to get a price of 2500 in the end, even though standard sports where gaining the same kind of money. if i wanted to make money on cars i become a trader
as for tom's its alot of car for the money, if you where to build a car of the same spec it would cost lots more ! but its ideal for a glory hunter only, not myself
