A fund set up in Colin's name would be far more appropriate. I'm sure Jimmy, Alistair and the rest of Colin's family would be touched by that and could perhaps advise what charity/fund Colin would have liked the money to go to.

they wont do that because they dont really care that much about whats happened to colin, they just want to cruise and this is the perfect excuse, but yes i agree thats a damn good idea

I could handle the scoobies doing it just about. This is rather gay tbh. At least there was a minor connection with the fact they're imprezas. This is just daft.

just reading that thread about making the stickers
quote: Just spoke with John at Evo and it turns out that he has on file the very graphic that Colin used on his own cars (Evo/Intralia did all the decal work for the McRae familiy's cars including the Escorts etc).
He would be delighted to help with the project and thinks the idea is a very fitting tribute.
I bet they are delighted to help, and i bet they are making the stickers free for a good cause, or giving the money recieved from the stickers to a charity connected with colin, i doubt it

If cruisers want to drive a rally stage no where near his house etc in his honour i don't see the problem, they are not causing the familiy any upset or grief are they..As long as they stay away from the family etc so whats the fucking problem?????
Also tarring all cruisers, ppl who like cars as 'chavs' and 'neds' really is short sighted ain't it??? And i have never been a 'cruiser'
I don't think the family will really care if there is a 'cruise' in his honour or not and i do not think they would be 'upset' or 'annoyed' about it though....as long as it does not disturb them..
So get off your fucking high horses jesus christ...
Oh and one point his son was really into his cars too and more than likley would have grown up driving...
R.I.P Colin, you were a legend..

Did any of you read the front page??
"At present the plan is to have small decals created which people can affix to their car window in a similar style to that used by Colin on his rally cars, under noted with the years of his life - 1968-2007. Unlike some sick people who are cashing in by selling similar stickers on eBay thanks to John at Evo Graphics we will be able to give these stickers away free of charge"

wtf? Load of bollocks. They didnt do a cruise past his house, they drove up there in convoy and laid some flowers at the gates to which they had all contributed. Nice touch imo

Following the funeral is a bad idea i admit, but driving up to lay some flowers is a nice touch and respectful, whether they were subaru owners or not. It just so happens they drove past when sky news were filming and it got public attention.

it was an organised convoy from what iv heard and seen, and it was like the same day, or the day after he died, it was pretty tactless tbh

Yes it was organised and from what i have read, they all chipped in for flowers and convoyed up to lay them at the gates. Dont see the problem imo, but everyone has their own opinion.
