I'd never move in with a mate. Things like them having there mates around all the time, who does the cleaning, are the bills paid etc. Would piss me right off.
I'm the same with gfs too. I'd never give up my flat for them. If we're going to move in together then i'd rather rent out the flat and get another place. Least i still have something for myself.

I moved into a mates rented house for a week. saying it was a pigsty was an understatement. There was a massive pile of washing up to do on the draining board so i thought i would do it, got half way through and came across a plate covered in mould nearly threw up at the sight of it and left a couple of days later

Reminds me of a couple of mates at uni. They got an apartment for their final year I refused to go around after 4 months It was fuckin rotten the place
Playing on the XBOX was all they did all day I really couldn't live like that.

i'd never live with my mates.
Even when they come round for a gaming sesh they do my head in. Leaving stuff everywhere and scratching the paint on my walls with laptops bags.
I'd murder them if they lived with me. After about 2 nights.

yeah...we sit and admire each other’s laptops while wearing glasses with stupidly thick black frames and of course all this is done while making nerdy noises.

I've lived with a few of my mates and never had any problems
I've been told I'm a very easy person to live with
(Adam might disagree though )

i've been living with 2 mates since january, and i've started to get annoyed now. Once the "honeymoon period" ran out after a month it turned to a fend for yourself type thing.
Me and 1 of the housemates are tidy and clean, the other one isn't though. Doesn't even have a driving liscence despite learning for 5yrs, gets a lift to and from work from me everyday as he works in same town. Also doesn't care about leaving things on/open etc when he goes to bed i have to go down and turn everything off and lock up everything. At first i didnt mind, but its all the time now so prob gonna move back to parents after the year contract is up in january.
Thing is, i'm gonna find it hard being at the parents after a year of not being nagged! Although i've learnt about how stressful it is so need to help out more than i used so, plus i could do with my mum ironing my clothes again! Also thinking of travelling next summer for a bit, and if i move back to parents i save £500 a month which would help with travelling + new car!

Home comforts are nice Just to go home and die in front of the TV Rather than come home and have to cook for yourself

Basically the same thing for me, me and my other mate are clean, tidy, turn stuff off etc etc whereas the other mate is driving me crazy, never does washing up, goes to work leaving the washing machine on so we cant do any, and his girlfriend is a twat as well (shes just a chav, we cant see what he sees in her ). Im moving out for my 3rd year at uni, getting a 1 or 2 bed with my GF, see how it goes from there lol

Andrew are your work receptionists men?
Adz i've pretty much just done the same thing, it's not as much benefit as it is hard work (for me anyway) the cooked meal and washed clothes thing hasn't been as much as a benefit in comparison to the constant interfering etc I have learnt alot about living alone since moving back to parents in a funny ind of way. i will be moving out again at some point next year and it'll be on my own again but this time in a cheaper (but still nice) place

We're all the same kinda age and get on well, plus everyone pulls their weight when it comes to cleaning and stuff, so far so good
