Is the car thats filming the car that cut up? or is it talking about the vectra you could see in the distance, being overtaken (NOT undertaken as originally SAID!) - just before a corner ...

Looked like nothing wrong in the vid either way... The escort just wanted to get past an obviously far slower car, the slower car should've given way.

Nah, it's the car behind. Took me a bit to figure it out! The actual overtake from the Escort is about 90

If all the accusations are true, the gentleman in question can count himself lucky it was another XRTurbo and driver rather than mine and me, as if he'd tried to pull a stunt like that with me, it would most definitely be ONNNNN.
He would most likely have ended up collecting his teeth from the floor with a broken arm.

Nice Vectra though.

Will really be a shame if the initial post is accurate.

Btw, is the chap in question brandishing a bag of dog shit in that picture?

If he is, this could well add weight to the prosecution's argument as he may be a proper prankster and master of the flaming bag of barker's eggs on the doorstep trick.

what makes me laugh is the fact that i got banned a little while ago because someone posted a picture on here of someone called lisa. i replied, not knowing who it was saying something like how will she get in there (vx220).. i got banned because i basically said she was big yet it's fine to slate this fattie without any ban from Ian?

makes perfect sense

but he was wrong anyway, not need to call him fattie fat fucker anyway, bet you lot have bellies and spots and scars and short gimpy legs and shit like that also.

I've been out at combe countless times and never had a problem.

I find you just need to have a sensible hat on. Give space to other people, if someone is going quicker (or driving dangerous) just let them pass / give them space.

If I see a quicker car approaching, I just put the indicator on and pull over, back off, let them pass and then get back on the gas.

What annoys me is the people who are driving fucking slow (even if they're in a decent car capable of quick speeds), but refuse to pull in let you pass. Like the crawl round the bends (where your not allowed to overtake) then nail it down the straight. Even worse is when they constantly sit on the wrong side of the track going slow, so you HAVE to undertake them.

These people then get upset you've undertaken them, or passed them in the breaking / corner zone. But at the end of the day if they just used their own common sense and moved over, it'd of been far easier / safer.

It's always evident you were a lot quicker than them, once you get past you just disapear away from them.

Thanks for your concern but I've only just seen the thread.

I'll be acting accordingly when I've firstly dealt with your wise-ass comments about how unfair life is. I was about to clean the thread up and remove anything personally offensive to the guy but obviously I've been delayed by you, nice job.

OK for the benefit of anyone wishing to cross-examine my actions I've split the thread and banned the user named 'Concerned' who appears to have only registered to shit stir.

As its now very late and I need to be up early tomorrow, and so Ben can see I'm doing my job properly as its so important to him I'm going to issue a public statement instead of doing it privately via u2u.

I don't want personal attack against anyone for any reason. Discussion of the incident and the conduct of either driver is quite welcome but the physical attributes of anyone involved are not relevant to the debate. Can I also ask that anyone who wishes to join in the discussion considers the fact that what is posted in the first message has not been verified as correct.

As the person in question is not an active member here and there have been no direct complaints I will not be issuing bans in this instance. However, after this post and warning therein, bans will result from public personal attack on this or any other person.

I hope this explanation is to your satisfaction Ben.

Everyone else consider yourselves fully informed of my stance on the matter.

It would appear the driver of the Escort (Camera car) saw everything when they got to the paddock and the first storey is correct.

Frankly, i've watched the video over and over again.

Yes the quick escort overtook in a braking zone, but he was far far quicker and made the pass well before the vectra turns in. Once the veccy does turn in, the escort is already a good 2-3 car lengths clear in front.

So the escort driver shouldn't have passed there, BUT, commen sense is needed and i think the pass was perfectly safe.

Vectra bloke has got angry about stones and such flicking up, in which case, why take the car on a track day. Track days are notrorius for stone chips and such.

Whatever happened in the pits, it doesn't warrant someone speeding in a paddock area. If F1 and MotoGP people have to abide by the rules, why should some wannabe whos comes to thrash his car on a track day be above these laws?

The same could be said for the escort driver on track, but there was no danger and the pass was fine. They were next to each other coming into the braking area, the vectra brakes, the escort leaves it till later. It wasn't a racing overtaking manouver.

Emosions run high when your on track, I had an issue with a driver once, but rather than going up to him, i simply spoke to the marshalls like everyone should. They are there to do a job and any complaints get dealt with. End of.

Anyone hitting each other for what ever reason is obsured and shows a real lack of commen sense and maturity.

Also, the original poster seems to have gone to all VX sites possible to post this... Strange eh....
