TBH spiders over here are lame.

Not until you have had a Huntsman spider above your head that you can be truely scared of spiders.

Huntsman:

Yes I did scream, it was about 1m away from me. Bigger than my fucking hand!

TBF I only saw the one spider in my month out there. You're meant to check your shoes before putting them on, and check your bedsheets before climbing into bed. Although i'm failry certain my Uncle was trying to shit me up.

Im petrified of spiders, just cant explain it! They give me such a shock when I see them. Its only the big ones though as someone said above. The little ones I dont look twice at. If I saw that one above in my house though I would probably faint!

Spiders are stunning animals to watch.
you really need to stand back and watch a large spider walk across the room to fully appreciate them.
I keep a Chilli Rose spider who is an adult and nearly fully grown. Hes about 6-7" leg span.
My Mrs hated him when we first got it but now again watching it walk around even she has come to be happy with it.
I would love to get a Goliath Spider in the future who can grow upto 12" leg span, i think i would be stunning, but only problem is you can not really handle them as they flick hairs.
Few pics of my spider.......

Advice to getting rid of small spiders is get a bigger one

camel spiders are abit of a myth really mate, as some photos have made them look bigger and nastier then what they are.
Photo in question is of a solider hold up 2 which look as big as his leg.
do a real search on the web and you will see they are no real differance to any other spider or animal........

Thats the one mate.
looks like they are as big as the blokes leg in the back ground BUT its the way the photos been taken.
look at the size of the hand holding them to the size of the spider........
The biggest they grow is 6" which isent very big.........

This is a better image of a big spider.
the body length has got to be a good 6-7" alone, most have a leg span of a good 12"
