Wash wheels with bucket 1, i like to use meguairs hot wheels wheel cleaner, soak wheels then spray with cleaner, leave then brush inside rims with meguairs wheel brush clean outside with sponge.
at the same time i clean the archs with soapy water.
then the bodywork i use bucket 2, with a meguairs wash mitt. Use halfords car wash, wash rinse and dry with a sonus der wonder drying towel
clay using meguairs claybar and lube.
then if the car needs it, a polish, and go over any areas with autoglym tar spot remover that needs it.
finished by a wax, p21s or zymol. Sometimes sealed with Autoglym super gloss
wheels are finished off with painted on autoglym tyre dressing, exhaust polished with brasso duraglit
oh i also clay the windows and lights lol

i never said it was detailing
and besides whos to say what 'detailing' is, its just a word with no meaning.
what i described is what i do on a regular basis if i was showing on a stand i would do more. Like when i took the wheels off and polished the calipers

silver is hard to get shiny?
my saxo was piss easy i could have used fucking halfords wash and wax and it was like a mirror
the 206 is a bit harder although its black its been mistreated in the past car washes and some fucking idiot went to town with a buffer and left holograms on it
so it got the full poorboys treatment yesterday took me about 5 hours

was a very overcast day but you get the idea the reflection is amazing
that was washed, clay bar, poorboys ssr 2, then poorboys natty's paste wax
job done

Is all the P21S and Poorboys stuff much better than Meguiars??
To be honest the results all look fairly similar to me.

i would say so mate the quality of ingredients and lasting finish is far superior to any megs or autoglym stuff plus no dust from them

May need to give them a try, because to be honest I feel excellent results are achieved just using megs wash, clay bar and 3 step system.

no way is silver easy to get a shine from, my car which is in very good condition still looks less shiny than my missus clio thats black and in shit condition
it may stay cleaner longer, but silver doesnt naturally reflect light like black or darker colours

any black car thats been washed will look shinier than that edd mon, it looks clean but not shiny, i think your getting confused.
you cant see many reflections in that, certainly not like youd see in black

i cant see any reflections in your car edd, yes there are things to reflect, trees, houses, hedges, street lights, yet in the leon i can see the window, the hedge on the side and the trees on the front corner, its common knowledge black is good for reflections and silver isnt, in fact i cant even believe your arguing it

silver isnt easy to get a shine when compared to other colours is it like red, blue, infact any other colour except white,
i hope this pic proves my point and end the silly debate.

the clio is my missus, and is washed every few months, cleaned with a bucket and sponge 2 weeks ago
mine was washed 2 days ago, and washed every few days, and waxed 2 days ago.
