mine does 12mph (gps) at 7800 rpm. f13 with a 4.18 final drive.
(125 on electric speedo is 130ish on the clocks)
I need a 6 speed box next.

infact, more people should do the FD swap, its one of the best mods I did.

some people also change 5th gear pair from an F20 with those from an F18 Wide ratio. to keep short 1-4 and have a long 5

Yep same and mine was on my private air strip aswell - (junction 27 - 26 m1) great, nice and flat!

your 1.4 16v will not do 126mph, on a normal flat road. My old GSi struggled to get past 115/120

My speedo is 2.5 mph fast according to GPS and we have even had a road angel! 
Your right steve, on a normal deadly flat road, it seems to hit a wall at about 115, but get it on a slight down hill , hardley noticable at all, and it will break that wall, then once back on flat it will get to 125 (did on way home from sheffield about 30 mins ago)
It seems to hit a wall at about 5800-5900 rpm in 5th, but once is breaks it, with a little help from mighty god ( ) , it pulls surpisingly well!
Thats with de cat scorpian and CF induction btw!
