Bex if its between Glasgow and Edinburgh, deffo Glasgow for shopping its loads better than Edinburgh!! But if you want to do the sightseeing thingy as well as shopping then I'd say Edinburgh

Stay in burger, festival is on tho so you might be struggling to get a place for wed.
Take a day to glasgow. shopping is great but more to do in edinburgher. plus chances of being stabbed or shot are greatly reduced!
