Mine was still in the corsa it was coming out of when i bought it. So i heard it running. But if its already out then like Ste said its the luck of the draw. Thats why a rebuild before it goes back in is a good idea.

About £800 fitting and running

Then about £1000 fixing

i dont even have a 2.0 but ive spent £1200 on my engine and it still standard

Did mine for about 1k, including engine, fitting kit, coilovers, water pump, cambelt kit, new gaskets, oil, filter, etc.

I did it myself and even if anything goes wrong its usally cheap to fix

£1020 Including everything it needed including mounts CV's engine and exhaust etc etc.

and i fucking love every minute of it!!

Couple of water hoses splitting and manifold melted a PAS pipe but apart from that nothing major. And ive done about 3.5k miles
