I must admit I do love the Shar Pei's as well but as with the Bull Dog's they are very expensive and have three grades Pet, Pedigree and Show, a show standard Shar Pei could easily set you back £2K

A big breeder/shower of Bulldogs lives behind me and they tend to go from £1250 to over £2k depending on the breeding of it.
And they are great for apartments Moe if your willing to take the extra time to take them out more. Was going to buy one myself but not allowed them in my building and my neighbours would love a chance to get rid of me
I've had her almost 3 years now, and spent a year looking into them and looking at pups before we bought her and anything under £1600 were very skinny, crossed with staffy's, boxers etc or the parents were in poor condition.

It must just be your area then. There is a fairly large breeding network around me for Bulldogs (the one behind me as I mentioned, and another 5-10 within 25miles approx.), and they are all excellent breeders and are pure bulldogs, and the prices start well below £2k for one with good brreding, and go upwards of £2k for one which has show winning blood lines.

Cheers for that mate, they are ready the week after I'm due to move into my new place so I couldn't think of a better house warming present to ourselves

Do it lol. As Cosmo said they ideal for an apartment and great around the house, just be prepared to be kept awake by the snoring.

My uncle in Aus used to have a ridgeback, he was gorgeous, but very scary to people who didnt know him
And he would disappear for days to go & find lady dogs
