Oh, and you can only get points for temporary speed limits on motorways and dual carriageways. In all other areas you can only get a fine.

Mine is on the m8 in glasgow, im starting to wonder if although it is a 60 limit on the signs. Is it possible that if the big flashing signs above the road that tell you about congestion ahead say 50mph i could get caught that way? i thought they were advisory limits?

if you read the thread tho most people make stuff up and guess. tbh from reading this he will
*get a fine
*not get a fine
*get points
*not get points
* get out of it due to the details being wrong
*details can be changed
*the time limit has been exceeded
*as its a business the time limit is fine
tbh i'd just ring and find out

He now knows if it was sent after two weeks he could use that to get away with it, he knows that details being wrong doesnt mean he will def get away with it, blah blah.
No one is saying dont ring, but its always wise to get a little bit of info before you walk in unknowingly.
