Im not sure how much money he is really putting into it personally though, not when you consider all the sponsorship it has....personal time though definitly.
I think he is seeing his job over there as more than just playing football, but kind of an icon for the US game to try to push the sport over there to rival the current top U2 sports...and hopefully start getting it called football!!!

He's going to be a brand over there which is a shame. You could tell when they spoke to the chairman of Galaxy, some of the stuff he said they are'nt really bothered about his talent.

It's been Brand Beckham for a decade now, it was a factor in his Madrid move as well. I personally think he's made a mistake moving there as early as he has and deep down he knows it but at the time he wasn't in the form he is in just now, which is as good as he has ever been.

I'd have stayed at Madrid for a season at least, they wanted him to as well once they realised they had made an arse of it.
They've done something they should have done 5 seasons ago, bought 2 world class defenders in Pepe and Metzelder plus they still have Cannavaro and Ramos. I predict a big season from them with Saviola and Van Nistelrooy up front
