thats volvo turbo engines for you mav, i heard the 2.3 t5 will really struggle to do any better than 21-22mpg and the new 2.5 t5 in the focus st isnt much better.
mind you i did think the t4 lump would have been able to see 30mpg on the motorway!

So did I and others but maybe with the full load and roof box (brick) on the roof contributed to being a bit lower...I have never looked before really when on motorway to see what i was getting without all the crap on and in car.

If all goes to plan I'll be getting a T5-R in the next few months so then I'll let you know what bad mpg is Mav...
