Right, Im back & injury free

Well, my wallet took a beating & my feet are in agony

Spent £250 on ice hockey gear as I've decided I want to start playing again & my feet hurt cos my new skates are carbon fibre & they don't seem to flex much. New skates are bad enough to bed in, never mind CF ones

There was some lad there prancing about, cutting people up & doing rather extravagent stops trying to look cool. I told him that the ice dance classes take place centre ice (they do ice dance lessons in the middle of the rink)

He looked embaraessed & I felt proud....till I realised that I was much much older

It's been so long that I'd forgotten how many weirdo's congregate at skating rinks. Lots of odd looking men, including some oldish fella who was going around whilst moving his feet randomly. I twasn't dance, it wasn't skating & it certainly wasn't normal

Skating wise I was actually OK, bit shakey at times, like when I go to turn & I just slide onwards but thats down to only having a standard grind. Went back to the place to have them redone straight after

Might go back tomorrow & show off to some kiddies

Matt you go Ice skating once and blow £250 straight away. Once again, where do you get your money from? How much for a night with you?

Free for you

I'd planned to buy some stuff soon anyway so I could start hockey again. Had to revisit the skate shop for a re-grind so figured I may as well get the stuff whilst I was there

It's quite relaxing skating about on the ice, made me realise how much I missed doing it. PLus it's quite stress releaving playing hockey, nothing like a good mid game scrap to relieve a bit of pent up anger

I can justify spenfding that money on something that will get used. It's not that much really

Was this bloke doing some kind of cross over leg dance side to side whilst lookin at himself in the glass reflection?

I got cocky on the ice skates you rent out that don't have curved blades at the end just straight edges and started to cross over at speed, I then swiftly fell on my arse.
