I went to Bodrum in Turkey all inclusive last year and it was a brilliant holiday. The people there took me by surprise, i was expecting the sleazy smelly tramps that they're always being portrayed as being, instead they were warm, friendly and went out their way to make you feel at home.

Just come back from Kusadasi in Turkey...cant fault the place...weather was mid to late 30's every day and even hit 45 one day!!
Everything is dirt cheap...can have a 2 course meal (lovely food) for 2 people...3-4 pints for me and 3-4 glasses of wine for the missus..bread..nibbles etc all for £20..
Cant argue with that...
Also the Turks are so polite and friendly...
Another thing...where the UK should me more like Turkey is everywhere you go theres a national flag...on every hilltop you see them...we should be more patriotic and proud to be british like they are proud to be Turks...
Instead the PC brigade put a stop to that!

I think £1500 for the holiday is how much we'd spend, then whatever on top for spending
You could get a 2wk all inc. in a 5star in somewhere like Dominican Republic or some other places around there for that much if you can find a good deal.
Failing that Cancun is gorgeous (try to get into one of the Palace hotels). As are St Petes, Cocoa bay (right by the space centre which is worth a look!) and obviously Miami, all in Florida
