I worked it out as £10 = 2.25 gallons at 98p / litre.
200/2.25
88 mpg
Not sure if thats right, surely not!!

My octavia 1.9 TDI 110bhp cruising in 5th feathering the throttle will not return that many MPG

Mine is doing around 70 miles on a typical week (1.4 16v Corsa C). Have seen 450 miles to £40 before a on long run.

lets just say the diesel was only 90p a litre even though its probably around 98p
£10 / 90p = 11.11litres
11.11 / 4.55 = 2.44gallons
200 / 2.44 = 82mpg
So @ 90p a litre you would have to be getting 82mpg and 89mpg @ 98p a litre, sorry but no chance mate.

What he said im afriad, I drive the Ibiza version of your car and can see 140ish to a tenner on the motorway. If i give the car some death, its normally 90-100 miles to a tenner of derv.
My trip computer goes dash dash dash if I hit 70 mpg (ie. it wont read any higher). This happened on the M25 when I was crusing at 44 in 5th due to signs being at 40.

its about 95p per litre here so thats about 10.5L i get about 80ish in mine,
2.2 vx220
1.2 corsa did about 100 miles to 10L
1.4 punto gt did about 50 - 55 miles to 10L
(i always measure in L as the prices change)

The XE costs me 21p a mile to drive
The sport is quite a bit better, Only managed 220 miles to 3/4 of a tank the other night though...

the c does about 50 mpg so thats about 120 miles to a £10
the 20xe had £35 of fuel put in, in january its done about 50 miles and is down to half a tank .

I get similar in my 1.2. Last weekend managed 173miles to 15quid and that included doin 90 overtaking a transit van thinking he was cool
