I'm going in Monday now

£300-£500?
Im going to get a 200 cell race cat for £80 and weld it in myself

But fair play, new cars are different to old corsas

I've been in a VXR with a Remus...it was fooking immense. Really burbly on tickover and raspy on acceleration, and it pops on command. Great bit of kit. It was porn to the ears.

The one I was in was a Stage 3 tho, but you should still get the same result!

Price is about right. I remember when the Miltex and Magnex brought theirs out and all the arguments on the VXR sites about which was best

What made you go for the remus over the other 2? Whats the tailpipe, i don't think i've seen the remus yet. I like the magnex triangle design.

They all sound similar, a lot of roar, some pops, a nice idle noise, but not too loud.

The cat is a 200 cell opposed to the standard 500 cell (or 400, can't remember), although the real restriction is the turbo downpipe box.

Most people were seeing a real 15-20bhp over standard with them on, its supposed to make the power smoother too.

I had a miltex in front and leaving me on another vxr. I want one, but we have the other two cars

Tailpipe is a VXR embossed rounded square oval thingy, look at the vid I posted and in the related links is a decent view of one.

Thorney Motorsport, who are very very very fanatical about power figures.
And engine temps
and inlet temps
and map aggression/smoothness

etc etc

Plus a few various others. It will see 250. After a remap, about 260-280.

20bhp increase sounds about right to me on a turbo car like that! Its not an NA we are talking here! Boost is bound to be increased cos its a lot freerer flowing (especially with a sports cat) and as long as your cooling is right 1psi is good for around 11bhp!

On my old 200sx boost went from the standard 9psi to just under 11psi after a NUR Spec R and decat was fitted - That was prior to the downpipe as well!

As for rollers..........who gives a fuck! Measure it by the seat of your pants!

Course boost will increase! Fair enough you wont get the most out of it until a remap but boost will definitely be up!

Steve man step down on this one will ya!

Well worth it IMO..you get what you pay for and by the sounds of it it's a lot of kit for the money. You put £800's worth of exhaust on a scooby and it will release 20 bhp EASY.

And were can you get a full ferrari exhaust for £800???

TBF, an Oettinger backbox for a Golf would be more than a full VXR Remus system.

Someone has taken down the other video of this bloke with is Remus

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=uCNMu3IJZxQ

Went for the Remus as people with the Milltek are switching to the Remus as its better sounding, better performance gains and better looking and cheaper.

boost is controlled by the ecu on modern cars, fitting a different exhaust wont make the ecu request more boost, or at least not much to notice, until you alter the adaptation values
