Morals like killing anyone who chooses not to believe in the word of God? Killing people for believing in another God? Killing all gay people? Al good examples of human compassion

My mum told me on the phone earlier that her & dad went for a walk, and people were being baptised in the river, they were dunking an old woman in the cold manky river, & people were clapping.......
My dad said 'freaks'

That's not what religion teaches you, none of them do.
That's down to people, not religion.

Yip, agree Robin.
Again, the people that do this and blame on religion would have done it anyway and used a different excuse.

All three examples are straight out of the bible, the so called "gospel" of truth that is the basis of christianity. If that isn't religious teachings, I dont know what is

Is it not the old testament that says all the gays were killed with acid rain.
I'd put a bet on the whole world wanting to kill gays back then, and until very recently, nothing to do with religion.

No it doesn't, the sorts of people that do these things would have found another excuse if it wasn't for religion.

I dont agree with that at all. Many of them were not "bad" people, but have been completely brainwashed into believing that what they are doing is actually God's work. They believe it so strongly that they are willing to sacrifice their lives and the lives of others, thinking that it will be a direct route to whatever their particular religion's concept of heaven is.
Exactly my point. Bravo.

Never heard that one before, maybe though? It wasnt that long ago that homosexuality was considered completely normal, like in the roman times. It seems completely out of order to me that people think it is suitable of the death penalty though. I swear one of my dogs is gay cos he always tries to shag the younger male we have, I always break them up cos I dont want to see it, but I would never consider putting him down because of it

Q - Is religion good?
A - No
Q - Is there a god?
A - No
