The garage i work for is a vauxhall/rover dealership. I have sold loads of headgaskets but every time people go non-genuine they are back again in 3 months. Im talking from experience, that is all.

All this talk about Headgaskets is bullshit.

I had a Metro GTI. 95 model, with the early engine that liked to pop gaskets. I thrashed the fook out of it everyday for nearly 2 years. Never a problem.

2 years in the scheme of engines is'nt a long time though. It is'nt bullshit at all, K-series engines are alot more prone than other engines for head problems.

I sell Payen and FAI gaskets, never had one come back.

Did have a woman pick a HG up for her husband once, i gave it her and said yeah its been paid for. she then folded it in half and put it in her handbag
