Clearly never driven a 120d M-Sport then
Personally, I would opt for the Golf GTi, then the A4.

I've driven a 320cd m-sport and to be honest it was alright but the 1 series is just so ugly. And i would never choose a diesel over a top of the range petrol.

My order of preference.

Golf GTi... By far the best one in this list.
Then the A4
The the Golf GT
Seat Leon
Mazda
BMW

Never knew company cars were allowed to be remapped? Not heard of people doing it?

My company is somewhat leaniant when it comes to cars. I don't specifically have a list either, i have a chunk of cash and I can buy what I like, so long as it's brand new or almost brand new.

Why is every1 so againsed the BMW? Its a company car so a diesel is ideal for cruising around effortlessly. And since when has a mazda or seat been cool? Really... Only a couple of the latest ones are ok. Still not COOL IMO. And if there was a prblem with the car, BMW would be with you and have the car sorted within a couple of hours. My dad has a BMW and would never go back to another run of the mill runaround.

Personnally, I think a lot of the other manufactures have raised their game somewhat, and BMW have only raised theirs a little.

For me, the 1 series is a waste of time. Just get a 3 series, have much more space, a much better chassis, better engine choices, more room etc... For the size of the car, its an awful lot of money, and no real advantages over the other marques anymore.

Although BMW's new turbodiesel and petrol engines are a work of art. (but in the 3 series upwards).

If you are choosing your cars on how "cool" folk think they are then good luck with that The Mazda's are about 260bhp are they not? I would go with that Then the GTi

Edit: Just saw its 265 in first post They look ace as well.

The 320d has the same engine as the 120d dont it? And these are supposed to be a very good engine. And BMW raise thier game every time other manufacturers just give 'facelifts'. This meaning they are WAY ahead of other manufacturers. Go for the beemer, you wont look back...
(no sarcy comments bout the driver of the mazda looking bak at him! LOL)

golf tdi 170, quick enough and will save you fortunes on fuel for a performance car.
