Yes it does. If you haven't declared stuff then your insurance is null and void if the insurers realise

hamish, i would phone the insurance company to tell them you are taking all the declared modifications off so they don't get damaged whilst the car is not in your possession.

null and void but not at that time i would assume.. my insurance runs out in two days and i'm with another insurer then so it doesn't matter...

Ben G...

If you crashed into me the Police would turn up and say that you had insurance.

The insurers would then turn up and say that they wouldn't cover you because you hadn't declared your mods. This makes your insurance null and void. You would then have a big bill to pay for someone elses repairs plus probable Police involvement.

Luckily for you it was someone with valid insurance that hit you and not the other way round.

sideskirts/arches as they are colour coded.

sorry for the thread hi jacking, it just wasn't my fault as my stupid dad decided to insure me and pay 1400 quid in one go with a company that wouldn't allow mods, then told me it was ok as long as you took them off before insurance saw

tbh i dont know if they will because Quinn seem rather layed back when you are declaring mods. And there is nothing written on my documents saying that it is modified

i've heard a few people say you can have any mods you want as long as they are not performance enhancing with quinn for no extra on your premium? not sure how true this is though.

id take the bits off you can take off easily

it would be stupid not to imo

there will be no comeback off the insurance anyway as because your not on agreed value, they will only pay out on what the standard car is worth

so get them all off mate and keep them at yours until you buy it back, if you do
