£40. You must be having a bobble hat and scarf. They would only cost about £5 in materials.

I'm paying £13 per sq.m for Carbon at the minute, you would get 3/4 sets out of that; maybe more! so £4.00 each max in materials, factor in time at say 1hr (being generous) plus a mark up £25.00 would be fair.
However it's supply & demand and no-one else makes them so £40 isn't unreasonable [Might make a couple myself ]

It always suprises me how much people think Carbon costs; some of the Glass we buy is more expensive

Carbon is the most redundant compound on the planet. It is cheap, it's just that not many people can lay it up properly and it takes a lot of skill to use. But once you know what you are doing, jobs a good'un.

Not sure ow it gets to Birmingham from the factory, but we have a freezer full of the stuff ready to be stuck in a mould and put in the oven

However to re-iterate - as no-one else is making these and there seems to be a demand - I'd say £40 is fair

I think people think Carbon cloth is expensive as a bonnet would cost you £300+, so everything must be expensive.
Still, I think it's a fair price

Not slating them Robin but I can't see much of a market for them at that price.
25 so you can say you have a carbon fibre gear gater but its not 40 quids worth of showing off.
