Whether they should or shouldnt be left is down to the individual child & the parents knowing if they can leave them. They will know there kids better than anyone throwing accusations around, its not as if they left them & went to a resturant 3 miles away, they were 2 minutes away if that.

IMO, they shouldn't have been left alone in that apartment on their own. At home while your round the neighbours I could just about agree with, but in a foreign country.......I don't.

it was on the news in the front room tv the other day, i reached for the remote, and casually turned over to MTV Base, a ludacris song was playing. My Mum was pissed off, and demanded the tv be turned back over. I argued my case for 3 1/4 minutes. Then I turned over for the news report to be finished.
i rose from my chair and placed the remote on my mums lap, and went to my room, where I played Forza Motorsport. Driving a Ferrari was hard at first, the back end was steeping out of line. I soon corrected this by putting a spoiler on the back and more downforce on the rear. I won my next 4 races in a row, going from level 28 to level 30 in the process. I then bought myself a Ford Focus SVT.
I decided I needed a break so went down stairs. In the biscuit tin, we had bonoffee cadbury digestives. I reached in and took one. It was delicious, so I helped my self to a 2nd. I then came to the conclusion that a pint of the white stuff was probably the best choice of drink to wash down said biscuits. I poured myself a pint of milk. I was feelin a bit naughty, so helped myself to a 3rd, then a 4th.
Delightful. I then proceeded to return to my room, where I flicked through the porn channels. After 17 minutes of gental rubbing, I upped the ante, comin with in the next 5 minutes. I was pleased that I had raised the bar. I went to the bathroom and washed myself down. I was feeling drained.
Once cleaned up, I went for one of those fucked up post wank wees. I wiped the toilet seat down, and returned, once more, to my room. I flicked through my CD collection and decided that tonight, I would listen to some Rage Against the Machine in bed. I placed my copy of Battle for Los Angeles in my Sony CD player deck, and turned my speakers off, my headsets on.
pressed play. Walked to my bedroom light, flicked the switch, and jumped into bed. The opening chords of the album began to play just as I hit the bed. I rolled over, got myself comfy. And relaxed.
I fell asleep at approximately track 4, the name of which escapes me now. But in all, that day was a good day

My two cents on this is that no matter what's said, the parent's should never have let them out of their sight.
The went for a meal and left their 4 year old in the apartment sleeping on her own on a family holiday?? I'm sorry but thats not how parenting works.
I dont believe all this conspiracy pish, the poor wee girl has been kidnapped and is probably dead.
I feel sorry for what the family is going through but i couldn't live with myself if i was one of the parents of that wee girl.

I dont see it a problem tbh, kids fall asleep early on holiday, you cant drag them down to a resturant if there wanting to sleep. IMO its no different to say if someone has a huge house & the kids are asleep at one end & the parents are right along on the other side in the kitchen or whatever. Someone could just as easy break in & snatch them un-noticed you just cannot be by a childs side 24 hours a day - impossible!!
