I've learnt my lesson anyway, bit sad it had to come to this. So i guess im looking at 6 points. 9 points in the 1st 3 years of driving, I feel like a tit.

Already disowned the twat. Don't speak to him no more - It's just a HUGE kick in the teeth that I was lied to and i'm going to get 6 points and a fine on my license because of a complete badger who I've now disowned.

Atleast it's given me a wake up call. I still know i'm in the wrong for doing it, and I do feel bad.. But it shant be happning again. So I guess one good thing has come of it.

Disown your mate for a bit and claim he robbed your car and went joyriding in it.

Even that does not allow to drive someone elses car

i can on my policy and im 22

yeah because your over 21. TBH if everyone could do this theyd buy a 1.1 fiesta sit it in the corner and drive a R32 skyline around. there would be no point in paying a tpft charge of over 1200 as everyone would just get a shitter and insure that,

if its true by all means tell me the company and im going to find a skyline or scoob over the weeked

The car itself still has to have a policy on it. You would just be allowed to drive it.

What if it got stolen?

I'm 23 and insure a grp20 car, yet I can't drive other cars 3rd party til i'm 25. Most places are generally 25+ to be 3rd party on any other car, and even when you can drive 3rd party there are limitations to the group of car you can drive.

I think If I remember correctly you will have to testify for the prosecution against your mate.

So, you're saying you insured a VTR and you can just hop out and jump in a lambo, providing the owner says it's ok?
