It's The Sun. The most hysterical pile of crap publication in the country. It should be banned for being so stupid.

Yeah, you've not done it... Why have a 300bhp evo when the limits 70mph? Get a grip FFS......
If someone checked their mirrors and you were doing 150, you would be a dot. And doing 150 you should be fully prepared for anything as you should have 100% concentration on the road. And if you approach traffic, then you come off throttle and slow down.
Its only dangerous if someone makes it dangerous.
The police will be able to use the motorway survailance cameras. They have the day and time and location. All they need is 2 cameras, they they can work out the average speed between cameras.
Job done, banned......
Wonder how many people who work at The Sun own sports cars and have seen those kinda speeds......

I'll record a video of me getting in my car, flooring it to the top speed, then someone edit the video showing my car going to 140mph. The send if off. Then let the police have a go in my car and see if it can get to 140mph

It won't stand in court as the posted photos could have been edited (+ im sure digital photos aren't allowed :boogle: ) - so like daimo said, only way they could prove it is using surveillance cameras (and i doubt they'll get him done on that....)
Eitherway, it's a bit harsh of the sun going to press with a pathetic story like that and it's not as if it was rush our on the M25 (in which case he should be banged up) - it was 7am and not a single car in sight

I saw 3 figures this morning.
Quick, inform the Sun........ Tell them you have a picture, see if they actually pay any attention.
To me, that says that someone spotted it, took the story to their editor to try to blag themselves a pay rise/promotion.

The conviction can't be secured on that evidence alone but if it would certainly strengthen a case that is already pending.
There was another case on another forum of someone talking about taking points for their partner. That was led to a conviction, but only as the points had already been administered.
If there was police witness information for a mystery car fitting that description doing that speed and that turned up then maybe. Not without it though.

He started a thread on the vx220.org site which read:-
'First pic of my car'
Then posted the pic of the speedo at 150+ and followed it with a pic of the M20.
Unsurprisingly he got a bit of a flaming.....to which he replied in a truly keyboard warrior stylee
Funnily enough, he uses the same username on PH and brags on there about doing double the speed limit etc
I can't see the BIB making it stick mind you....
