I dont see the point tbh people take them in anyway last time I was there when everyone was leaving u could see loads of bottles left on the grass where all the tents had been  its the same way every year.

The beer was VERY well hidden at the bottom of the car, with a towel over, and then a quilt He found one bottle and said is that it mate? I said "Yeah" Then he took the towel off, and saw 6 crates, and some alcomopops

Fro was searched for guns and drugs 
I was like oh shit, then got a bottle of aftershock from the boot and said for eck to hide it
He said, it was well hidden but theres no way you're coming in with it, i said that i diddn't even know you wernt allowed glass bottles, then he got it all, the cunt

The guy came up to me and said can you open your boot please mate. I was like yeah dont think your gunna find much in there (just 2 subs, amps and wires) looked behind my seats and i thought crap hes gunna find the amaretto but he didnt and said on your way result

We were not searched, I don't think they were doing it for everyone.
Littering is the issue, not simply whether or not you have bottles. I personally did what I could to keep the place tidy, as I'm sure most other responsible people did. Thats nothing to do with whether I was searched.

Its the fact that they took all the beer was the annoying thing, whatever litter I had i put in the big bag. Did you actually ask about the beer? When I went just got a "no" basically..
