The persons insurance who owns the car will fight for injury claims for passengers in the vehicle. I personally wouldnt go through my own.

At least everyone was ok, drink drivers piss me off so much - just get a bloody cab!
I think you have to notify her insurance so they can claim off the other parties insurance. Wether or not its a grey area because he was drunk and technically not insured i dont know.
A friend of mine is solicitors clark who got my physio paid for and i got some compensation when someone went into the back of me - its 2 years on and i still get grief from my neck.
If you want his number drop me a pm as he is bloody excellent.
I wasnt bothered about the compensation (moneys always nice) but i was more interested in getting the physio paid for as the NHS waiting list near me was over 6 months.
Although my physio was a perv and kept touching my boobs - but i dont think you'll have that problem

Quick update .... Police can find no insurance details for the vehicle or driver. Probably why he had no tax either.

I've not said I would yet anyway.
As for getting arse raped for us calling the Police? Ok had we not called them and let him be on his merry little way and he had knocked down and killed someone ... would that have been ok?
We called the Police as it was an accident and we were suspicious about him. As its turned out we were right as he was over 2 times the limit, not insured or taxed.
Arse raped ...... IMO he deserves everything he gets for taking the lives of others into his own hands.

Well the driver has been told to take time off of work due to the injuries she sustained in the crash and the 2 other passengers are also suffering from pains to their necks so if they wish to make claims for their injuries they are more than entitled to do so.
Juries out on me as i'm not in a great deal of pain, but have a small infrequent pain to the left side of the base of my neck.

The last crash I was in as a passenger I never claimed for and the only time I did ever claim was when I was in Matt Crowthers car when it was written off, but the company went bust and I never recieved a penny for my whiplash. I'm assuming you're little Tom that was also friends with Matt?
