Really though robin if it was the choice of the landlord they would all choose to be a smoking pub... They could be a non-smoking pub now if they wanted but they aren't purely because it alienates customers.
There's 5 pubs in the village I live in, 3 are already smoke free, and have been since last year some time, they have as much custom as the others, because the smokers go in the smokey pubs, the non smokers go in the smoke free ones.
Oh we dont have any non-smoking pubs round here, And tbh it's MANCHESTER so 90% of places wont abide by it anyway
Guarantee you every single one does, i said the same thing about all the rough pubs up here but all the hard cases don't want their boozer shut down so just abide by the rules.
Turns out no one is actually above the law.

get to go out and not come home stinking of smoke.
I dont really mind it in some places, its just others you go in where it seems there is a smoke machine on or something as its that bad.

I'm looking forward to being able to sit in a pub without someone elses smoke drifting across my face and irritating my eyes. It'll also be nice to wake up the next day and not stink of fags.

I don't smoke so won't affect me from that point of view. I'm not saying I like passive smoking but I've never really been bothered unless its being blown in my face (yeah you read that right)

It's not sociably accepted to smoke what I smoke in public places so I'm not sure how it will affect me. Maybe it will help my singing voice for when I go to kareoke on Thursdays.

In scotland its been brought in quite well, no one moans or has a problem with having to go outside, its not a problem even if its raining. Wee bit annoying having 7-8 people standing around the main entrance power smoking as your trying to get in or out right enough - they arnt meant to stand right at the door, however they do!!
