how much is tax on a second income these days? 40% or thereabouts?
All income is calculated in the same way whether you have one job or 2 or 3, it goes on total earned income......your tax-free amount is £5225 then next £2,230 at 10% TAX then next £2231 to £34600 at £22% TAX then over and above at 40% TAX.

Second job is taxed at the normal rate, everyone gets £5k tax free allowance, everything else you earn is taxed at basic rate tax

Wrong about the income tax & you'd be very lucky/fly to get a cash in hand jobs as theres not many to be had any more, companys get in deepshit for doing that & can get hefty fines!!
