I don't think it looked too bad - yeah it was cut out quite extensively to fit the exhaust but it's not structural so what does it matter?
It's not like it was hacked about with a blunt axe and left to rust under the bumper - it looks like it was done fiarly properly imo

I remember seeing this car, used to like it but just couldnt get over why the big exhausts
