It is a 1.4 I think..I meant the VTR isn't very quick but VTS is better....Not that I would have any of them
I would have dropped a 2.0 in the corsa

I would have given you more than £1500 for it. It looks proper nice and tidy for a black corsa.

A VTR is quickerr than a sport and more entertaining to drive and I can base that on a unbiased opinion as I got to drive them regularly back to back.
My advice to fuck off any advice from the french haters on here, go test drive a few cars that YOU like and then make a decision based on that.
Being 18 a VTR will be just the ticket on running costs and insurance. My brother VTR brings him back 45mpg every week without fail I didn't beleive it myself till I started using it.

Thats not what I was meaning at all..All I meant was i wouldn't get a VTR if i was to get a saxo would go for a VTS all the time as they are faster..I wan't stating a 1.4 sport is better than a VTR etc etc etc..........

Yes this was not a debate about what was better etc but highlighting the points that no one on here would give as the majority havent got a balanced opinion on the cars in question. Seeing as he is 18 a VTS is out of the question this is my point and if he can have a car thats quicker and different than a 1.6 Corsa then why desuade the chap?
Butler a sane person who is 18 would buy a VTR over a VTS if thyey didnt want to pay more than the car is worth in insurance surely this is a sound enough reason.

Personally I cant understand why you would settle for a vtr though, its like second best, and they are common as muck. You could never modify it knowing it wasnt a vts aswell.
Saying that im a bit of a hypocrite but the rallye is a rare car with more character and for that reason I prefer it over a GTI.
Its only my personally preference.

Its all down to prefference and abit of common sense if you look on the trader you will notice VTRs tend to go for more or the same as VTS for the sole reason of affordable insurance.
