why did you have no insurance? i can think of no genuine reason how you could accidentally or otherwise drive with no insurance?

I had insurance, I taxed my car, I drove my car..... I lost my job, I canceled the car insurance and left the car on the drive... didn't move it... didn't accidently drive it without knowing... just left it and it got stolen!!!!

IT WAS 100% LEGAL!!! Otherwise don't you think I'd have thought twice about calling the police!!!

No, I wanted it back anyway... it's my car.... and plus, I'd still have to pay the short fall on the finance.
