I had a Works which was quiet fun but it was VERY unreliable - new gearbox, sun roof, supercharger etc and it had only covered 13k miles!

Gearbox problems are common on all Minis! Upto late '04 I think so beware of that.

We have two; one is a 52 plate one with 125K on the clock and the other is an 04 plate diesel with 107K on the clock and they have been so reliable; the clutch even last 117k on the petrol! A very nice car to drive aswell
