If you sell the 106 buy a slightly older audi or something if you're after better build quality but ask yourself why you sold the ibiza?

I wake up crying about that every morning, so thanks, you just made me cry at my desk at work!

I seriously wished i never got rid of it! But i did, thats life, i'm putting new suspension on so lets see what i think after that, but i really fancy a RST, and with the money i'd have i could get an exteremly nice one!

You seemed happy about it at the time. I wouldn't slate the pug too much tbh as it's waht you wanted THEN, to be fair the cupra had its fair share of problems and would've cost a similar amount to repair. Not only did i get all the engine work repaired for bill over £600, my mate's got it now and the clutch is on its way out too

TBF i have spent nearly £2k on the pug, clutch / gearbox / suspension. But i'm not slating it for that, i explained to you that there was an issue and i told you what i thought it was, as i went off the fault code that come from vagcom. So that repair was not unexpected. I'm not moaning to you about the clutch or gearbox as i put that down to wear and tear.

I was very happy with the swap at the time, as you were.

Just seems you're always slating the pug for this and that, and i take it personally because i loved that car and have similar feelings to you, with regards to the regret of getting rid. At the end of the day it's a 106 and they inevitably going to break. Just i had it for 9months without a problem, you get it and say this is breaking that's breaking etc. Like you say though probably down to wear and tear, but if you don't have the same feeling for it then get rid. As for going backwards i've gone from a Y-reg Ibiza Cupra to a K-reg Polo G40, and couldn't care that i don't have electric windows etc. because it feels like the right car for me. If you fancy the RST i say go for it, if you like the drive, and have some pennies left over.

I did offer you a straight swap back tbf!

you was the one who turned it down.

I do love the pug, and i have piled loads of money into it, but it just gets me down that no matter how much money i spend on it, it doesn't make me happy as i want it to!

As much as I have enjoyed agreeing with you of recent that comment is asolute Tosh, the dash in a 106 is more Gash and the seats look like "tomy my first bucket seats"

S2 Rst's have nice recaros and are not that bad to sit in..,and you actualy have room to move around in and not constantly getting your knee touched when the driver wants to change gear.
