Considered that. Corsa i have ATM is only worth about 3.5 and is immaculate, so would keep that as it's only a 1.4. Problem is whatever i buy, insurance is a killer, and doesn't make much difference if i do 4k a year, or 15k a year.
If i kept the corsa for work and ran something like a mk4 astra GSi at the weekends, it'd cost more than using just a VXR to do all the miles .
Doing limited milage (250 miles a month) in an evo will be something stupid like £250 a month + whatever the loans costing me + another £170 to run the corsa . This isn't accounting for wear and tear either, just fuel, insurance, tax and servicing!

Corsa 1.4 SRi - £350
Astra GSi - £650
Astra VXR - £900ish (been a while sisnce i got the quote)
Scooby '04 Sti [265] - £1900
Evo 7 GSR - £2300
Most of the later ones were done through admiral as they seem to give decent quotes, and they're online, obviously a bit of digging should get it cheaper, but i wouldn't imagine it'll drop loads! All were with protected NCB if i were taking it out in october .

RX8 have very high running costs associated with them
High mileage M3 might be an option

S2000? Ok not as quick as scoobs / Evos but still quick , and much cooler
You could get a decent NSX for 16K (ok not new but still)
Elise S2 also an option.

high milage on the M3 is only going to get higher though, and i think insurance could be steep.
S2000's are cool, and just about come int the buget if i go for something slightly older - 2003ish. Would have to check out insurance.
Elise S2- see VX220/VXT comments .

. If it weren't for the milage, i'd just get an evo and live with the bankrupcy TBH, but while i still have to do it, it's not feasible .
I suppose the sensible thing to do is keep the corsa, and save a big wedge of cash, buy the car, then rent a house near to where i work. Thing is i've got 17 years of education-influenced frustration built up inside me, and i really don't think i could resist spunking a load of cash on a car while i'm still at home with the 'rents and can get away with it .

Off the mark yes, rolling? Evo still faster but not a massive amount faster.
Depends which Evo I totally dusted someone who thought they'd get personal with my rear bumper the otherday.
