well look at it this way;

i get college fees paid for
i learn a trade
i have a job at the end
and i can work in pretty much anything mechanical by the end

theres five pretty good reasons why its not so much money.

but then at 17 just left school and dont have to pay anything (cept insurance) its pretty good

get the feeling when i have to pay petrol it wont be so good haha

Do the maths, double that would be taking home almost £1200 a month. For a youngish that's a LOT of money.

Apprenticeships(sp) are good, cos otherwise someone could be in education and not getting paid a bean for the work they put in. He's learning AND getting paid for it!

Everyone has some sort of debt, if you can afford to pay it and it doesn't effect your lifestyle then I see no problem?

no debt here. I would always entertain debt for a car, although nothing else.
