The 1.25, 1.4 16v and 1.6 16v all have Zetec S Stamped Engines.
I assumed me meant a 1.4 Fiesta vs The 1.4 MG ZR

He's talking about the Zetec-S Sigma engines. Not the trim. A Fiesta Zetec-S is a 1.6 Zetec-S engined car (unless it's a Mk5/6 in which case it's a Duratec petrol or Duratorq derv).

My mate had a 6 for about an hour before the engine spat a piston on the dual carraige way That was a fun conversion that I'll not get involved in again, in a hurry!

Interiors are nice in the ZR's though, would probably be more comfortable than a ZS and look good when they have the 17's and skirts. Someone on here has a nice yellow one.

Yes. But not because of your example. Just because they are, and Ecotec's are notorious belt snappers. Hence the requirement to change the belt everytime you stop for fuel.

They have a notorious failure record and have had the replacement interval shortened loads of times since they were released.

No, the belt doesn't. The rollers can collapse, but it's never before 60k, when they should be replaced anyway.
I don't know of anyone who has snapped a belt on any of the multiple ecotec engines on here, or any forums tbh.

The belt doesn't what? You saying the idlers should be replaced and the belt not?? LOL. You can't be looking very hard, there's a chap with "Bent valves" in his signature. Can't make it more obvious, TBH.

No.
I said the belt doesn't (snap) it's the idlers which are the issue, they should be replaced at 60k, when the cambelt is done.
Show me the sig.
