I'll take the single engine'd skyline that beat the nova, lots of times.....

FUll interior, stereo, no engine heat behined you or in front, bigger, overall faster, and probably uses less fuel due to only 1 engine.

Called a tiger or something?

I've seen one of these at the new brighton rally, looked stupid stupid fast, and the way the engines were mounted etc looked very complicated but it was all over the show, literally even in a straight line it looked skittish to say the least.

Do you understand lag?

You can rev all you want on the line but you wont get a turbo to produce postive boost until the engine is under load! Thats why its so easy to make a turbo car bog down, revs have got to be spot on!

So spooling the turbo(s) up at a standstill does nothing?

He didn't say that Robin did he.....

Perfect example of a high boost engine bogging down off the start line...

When he gets that sorted, can't wait for the 1/4 mile times...

(9.71 1/4)

No, he didn't say that, but surely a turbo which is spooled up is creating positive boost?

You clearly have never had a turbo car! Sit in neutral and rev the car, up to the limiter if you like! Your boost gauge will remain in vac............it will not make positive boost!

Exactamundo.

Engine needs load to create the boost pressure.

Although blipping the throttle win create boost as you can get the DV to open/close if the car is parked, but holding the throttle open on the limiter nothing will happen.

Correct.

I was making an assumption on the understanding that exhaust gasses would be leaving the engine at whatever revs, rotating the exhaust turbine, turning the shaft and the compressor turbine, forcing air out of the turbo, into the engine.

Obviously I'm wrong though.
