Ryan, they allow plastics.
For example, a milk bottle, they will take the bottle, but not the lid...
And our vehicle is brand new.
oh sorry robin i got a bit confused there
god knows why they don't take the lid different rules to our area it seems

Road tax on gas guzzlers to rise to £300 next year and £400 the year after. There will be a 30% cut for Band B fuel-efficient cars.

My 12v should be ok then
Although it does seem to guzzle gas, especially when I drive a lot at 70mph

As far as road tax is concerned, it only affects you if your car was registered AFTER 03/01...
quote: Cars registered before 1 March 2001: taxed on engine size; over 1549cc £175 a year, below £110.
Cars with petrol engines registered on or after 1 March 2001: taxed in seven tax bands depending on CO2 emissions. Bands A-F apply to all cars registered until a year ago, the new G tax band applies to heavily polluting cars registered on or after 23 March 2006.
Different tax rates apply for cars with engines using diesel or alternative fuels.

So a 1999 Ford ranger 2.5 will still cost £175?
