If he isn't in it for the money then do you reckon he'll take £50 and a 12v? Then I can sell it on like a normal person would for £8.5million.

It has had 89million hits in 18 months and rakes in £2,500 a month from advertisers.
To make 8.3 million from the advertising.... it'd take him 283 years

only brings in £2500 a month through advertising.
The company wanting to buy them obviously realises that with 2.5m hits a month and someone with a bit of a brain in charge it could be a gold mine!

his second site bombed...he waited too long before bringing it out and all the hype was lost.
If he'd of done it a month or two after he'd of made a second million by now.

exactly. I made better sites than that when I was 12, and that was like when the internet was just fucking under construction gifs and scrolling text!

Could it be as bad a move as the guy who did not take the shares in MS when they first started up.
Even if he is not in it for the money he should have sold it because it he could have gone on to develop something similar again if its the enjoyment of doing it he is after and he still have 8.5 million on the bank to go on holiday with.
Fair play for developing something for so long. Quite hard to make a success of something like that on the net without a lot of marketing etc.
