Nothing against using feet as a form of restraint is there? Not kicking, but holding someone down...

she wasnt hit in the face, it was on the arm apparently. she was resisting arrest and is making up lies ablout having an epileptic fit.
if she does suffer from epilepsy then she shouldnt be out in nightclubs getting completely pissed. The fact is that if she hadnt been aggressive, damaged vehicles, resisted arrest, fought the police etc... then she wouldnt have been in this position.
she is complete dole scum that is trying to cash in on the situation by suing the police even though she wasnt injured. It also really makes me angry that she is trying to claim it was a racist attack. If she does get any money then she should be forced to repay it for the damage to the car and all of the police time she wasted.

well, I don't think this amounts to reasonable force esp that there were 5 officers to arrest her.
PS I'm not defending her...

I don't know why this comment isn't the law tbh.
Why do you automaticaly get more rights than law abiding citizens when you do something you shouldn't
Would start to solve a large amount of the problems in britain today imo.

Apply Newton's law.
If someone hits you, hit them back.
If someone grabs your nads, pull a tit.
If someone spits, spit back.
That solves it.

I assume she will be charged with criminal damage to the vehicles she vandalised?
Presumably it'll also be on the same cctv footage?

steve you talk rubbish, police are trained to be able to deal with a situation. they could of simply layed her on her cheat and handcuffed her behind her back. maybe even put thier fut on her back to keep her down.
the copper lost his temper.. yes she was scum but the police didnt do as they should of done.
yes your right i dont have a good attitude to police.. because its amazing how if anything happens to me, like my car or house gets broken into they do fuck all, when i got bottled and attacked by 4 asains when i was out with my gf they did nothing, yet when i defend myself they lock me up?
why should i have respect forr them?

FFS some bloke is going on about how this is another rodney king case!!
the arguement is the copper hit her in the top of the arm to her the dead arm effect so he could then cuff her as she was grabbing his balls and trying to bite him.
once the independant police complaint office release there statement im sure it will be in defence to the policeman after they have interviewed everyone at the scene

Imo he showed his training, because if a girl was grabbing my balls it would be a knee to the head, not a punch in the arm.

I bet he is black
theres a minority of black people that try their hardest to jump on this type of thing at every opportunity. they create racism by turning this type of case into something racist which it clearly isnt. Racism will never be abolished, its a natural human reaction. I have asian friends and I dont class myself as racist, although if an asian person cuts me up in traffic for example my natural reaction is to shout 'paki basta*d'. same as if he was fat, bald, ugly etc... Its a natural reaction to pick up on something that describes that person. I dont use the word Paki as an insult, just a description.
but others will see it as being racist.

The bloke they interviewed on C4 was black.
Was that racist? Why not ask a white person to do it?

TBh just looked on bbc news website and the scum bag looks like she desrved to be lamped, especially if she was comitting an offence. The force is too soft these days, fair enough you cant just start throwing an innocent person about but if some chav is being abusive and vandalising things, she/he deserves aa dig or 2.

The woman doens even look 'black, coloured, halfcast' whatever..........she just looks filthy, in need of the soap & sponge.
I hope it all backfires on her & they fine her a couple grand for the damage she caused & then put all the 'rodney king' race card whips in their place!!
Doubt it though, she will probably get a huge out of court settlement at the tax payers expence & an appology from the PM or queen & the police man jailed..............just to save the 'non racist'UK face!!

Trouble is, most of the time it is someone of a different colour/foreigner that is commiting the offences these days. But people are too scared to say this as they fear being called racist

[Edited on 08-03-2007 by abdus]
Section 117 of PACE allows the Police to use force that is reasonable in the circumstances to allow them to excercise any of their PACE powers. The fact that the Officer documented that he punched her 5 times as hard as he could will benefit him in the investigation. Police can use deadly force if the circumstances allow hence firearms Officers - it's the same PACE power that authorises them to fire.
The Officer has said that she was resisting arrest, her arms were free and she was trying to grab, knee and kick him in the genitals. The footage certainly shows them falling down the stairs and a struggle on the floor. The thing that people sometimes forget is that the Officer doesn't know if she has a knife or anything. It is for the enquiry to decide on whether the force was reasonable and the Officer to justify his actions. She is fighting and he is trying to gain control. As for those who say a man punching a woman is wrong under normal domestic type circumstances I would agree whole heartedly. However women can fight just as hard as men and if they have a knife they can kill.
I am not saying what he did was right but offering an alternative opinion as we don't know all the facts we'll have to wait for the enquiry.
